This August, Techworks partenered with the Child Center of New York (CCNY) to help assist with their annual backpack drive. Every donation made ensured that a K-12 student in their program would receive a supply-filled backpack for the upcoming school year. We were able to raise over $1200 and support 40 kids with brand new backpacks and supplies!
Techworks Gives Back has dedicated itself to our Tech4Good initiative this year, working together with nonprofits to give them technology they typically would go without. Recently, with the donation of decommissioned technology from Sachem Public Library, we were able to donate 5 complete workstations to a school in need, P.S. 272 Curtis Estabrook in Brooklyn, NY. When we received the technology, our team volunteered their time and worked together to review all the equipment to make sure it was able to be restored to working order. Our techs then destroyed all data, and refurbished workstations to make sure it performs brand new. It was our pleasure to hand deliver them to PS 272 this past Friday. Do you know a nonprofit in need or is your office looking to donate technology? Find out more information here: https://bit.ly/3v9Qukf
This holiday season, Techworks Gives Back participated in Sachem Public Library and the Town of Brookhaven's INTERFACE's Holiday Toy Drive in order to collect and donate toys to those children in need. During Techworks' Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in November, we collected donations from our friends and families in attendance, along with members of our staff through the season. At Sachem Public Library's Holiday Market, Techwork's Executive Vice President, Thomas Lohr (pictured) along with Marketing Coordinator, Susie Henaghan (pictured), donated the collected toys to Neely McCahey(pictured), Director of the Sachem Public Library.
