Techworks Team Rolls Up Their Sleeves to Support Long Island Cares

RONKONKOMA, NY, August 2026 – At Techworks, community involvement is more than a company initiative. It is part of who we are.

This week, Techworks employees stepped away from their desks and into their community, volunteering alongside our friends at Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank. To accommodate schedules and maximize participation, the Techworks team split into two volunteer groups, serving on separate days to help support the organization's mission of fighting hunger across Long Island.

During their volunteer shifts, team members assisted with sorting and packing food that will ultimately help individuals and families facing food insecurity throughout the region. The effort reflects Techworks' ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting the organizations that strengthen our local communities.

"Technology is what we do, but community is part of who we are," said Theresa Harman, Procurement Manager of Techworks. "Long Island Cares makes an incredible impact every day, and we are grateful for the opportunity to lend our time and support to an organization that helps so many people across Long Island."

The volunteer initiative was coordinated as part of Techworks Gives Back, the company's community outreach program focused on supporting local nonprofits through volunteerism, technology donations, and community engagement. Techworks employees regularly participate in charitable events and service opportunities that create meaningful impact both inside and outside the workplace. Techworks' community efforts include hands-on volunteer initiatives and support for local nonprofit organizations throughout Long Island.
